SEVEN SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED!
We are so thrilled to tell you that the GPCA Burnett Scholarship committee has met. We received 12 applications from 12 fantastic people. They all met the qualifications so the committee had to work down the list of decision-making criteria to make their decision, i.e. Freshmen have priority over other class status, etc.

Wood Destroying Organism Required?
In the 2010 Georgia General Assembly, GPCA introduced HB 1048 which would require a WDO inspection when property is sold. The legislation successfully passed out of the House Ag & Consumer Affairs Committee but stayed in House Rules. GPCA and the Georgia Association of Realtors agreed to work toward an agreeable solution – short of a state law – to this consumer protection issue.
By early next fall, it should become evident if some workable plan is feasible. If not, GPCA will reintroduce legislation that would require this essential inspection. |
Free training for GPCA members – EVERY MONTH
The 4th Tuesday of every month GPCA holds a training class at its office North of Atlanta. Odd numbered months have odd numbered category – 29 HPC. Even numbered months have even numbered category – 30 WDO. Our speakers vary – one month it could be a chemical representative – another month it might be an approved trainer from a GPCA member company.
The purpose of the 4th Tuesday training is GPCA Members can get FREE HOURS. You always know there is going to be training at the GPCA office. You know it is going to be worth two hours credit.
Nonmembers - $25 per person.
Pre-registration is requested. Please park WEST of the marquee – near our building

New Service Tickets
GPCA has the new ‘universal’ service ticket which may be used for residential, commercial or school applications. It lists the 5 post-precautionary statements approved by the Commission as well as the specific areas, also approved.
GPCA is offering the two-part service tickets to its members.
- Price includes Company information – up to 5 lines.
- No logo insert available.
- The ticket is 8 ½ x 11, NCR paper, perforated in sets of two. (Sample shown looks smaller – but it is 8 ½ by 11!)
- Price does not include tax and shipping. This depends on quantity ordered and shipping location.
