Professional Bio

Kristen Stevens, BCE, is something of a pest management unicorn with extensive leadership experience in both technical and training roles. Her current obsession is improving the 'how' of pest control training programs - namely, how to engage new hires up to the C-suite in continuous education. She is the founder and principal consultant at Metamorphosis Training, an independent pest management training consultancy. And currently working as the Senior Manager of Training and Development at Fox Pest Control. Previously, she was the Director of Training at Cook's Pest Control in Decatur, AL. She led a revitalization of company-wide training and continuing education programs, including a transition to a hybrid training model of virtual and in-person instruction. Before joining Cook's in 2019, Kristen served as Technical Director for Clegg's Pest Control in Durham, NC, where she presented company-wide training programs and oversaw quality assurance.

She is currently pursuing a PhD in adult education from Auburn University and holds bachelor's and master's degrees in entomology, with a specialization in urban pest management under Dr. Phil Koehler, from the University of Florida. Kristen worked as a teaching assistant during her master’s program and over the past six years has delivered numerous seminars, workshops, and presentations at pest management conferences.
