Administrative Professional of the Year

Criteria & Rules

This prestigious award will be presented to the administrative professional that best demonstrates the qualities listed below. Individuals may be nominated by their colleagues, managers, or self-nominated for their outstanding service, superior performance, exceptional efficiency, integrity, and dedication to their fellow employees and their companies. Nominees may be nominated by more than one person.

The recipient of this award will be an individual who demonstrates the following qualities:

  • Customer service-oriented both internally and externally
  • Commitment to the company’s purpose
  • Current, full-time administrative support staff members
  • Have worked in his/her current position for at least two years

The winner will receive:

  • A plaque
  • $250 gift card
  • Complimentary conference registration to the conference of their choice (Athens, North Georgia, or South Georgia)

Georgia PestVets Veteran of the Year Award

The Georgia PestVets Veteran of the Year Award was created to honor a veteran who has helped strengthen the role of pest management. They are recognized for their outstanding contributions to the industry
and to the communities they serve.

Criteria & Rules

The evaluation process will recognize the following:

  • The nominee’s contributions to other veterans
  • The nominee’s leadership/involvement in community volunteer activities
  • The nominee’s contributions to the pest control industry
  • The nominee’s contributions to his/her company

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Must be a Veteran of the US Military discharged under honorable conditions (DD214)
  • Must be employed by a GPCA member company 

Winners of this award who are also a part of an NPMA member company will automatically be submitted for the NPMA PestVet of the Year Award.

Woman of Excellence Award

The Georgia Pest Control Association’s (GPCA) Woman of Excellence Award recognizes women who advance the pest management industry every day, in every way.

The recipient of this award will be an individual who demonstrates the following qualities:

  • Outstanding leadership
  • Has made notable contributions to the development and growth of the profession
  • Has made notable contributions to their business
  • Contributed to other women in the industry
  • All nominees must be women who currently work in the pest management industry. They can be a PMP, Administrative Professional, Manufacturer, or Researcher

Outstanding Pest Management Professionals

Criteria & Rules

The GPCA Outstanding Pest Management Professional’s award is to honor those outstanding individuals whose passion for their industry and others have set them apart from the rest of the crowd. This award may be presented to office professionals, managers, sales, or service professionals.

Applicants Must:

  • Be an employee of a GPCA member company.
  • Have worked a minimum of 3 years in the industry.
  • Be active in community service such as Red Cross, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society participation, Boy’s & Girl’s Club, Boy Scouts, etc…
  • Exhibit excellence in safety, customer relations, and leadership skills.
  • Provide a picture with the completed entry form.

All entry forms must be completed in their entirety. Companies may nominate up to five applicants for consideration. No more than two representatives per company will be selected. Incomplete entry forms will not be accepted, and the decision of winners by GPCA is final. All entries are confidential.

*Winner will receive one free Athens Conference Registration

*Online Applications must be completed by the applicant's supervisor.

 Winners will be notified prior to the GPCA Athens Winter Conference where awards will be presented for those attending.

Winners do not have to be present at the Winter Conference to qualify.
