The GPCA 2024 Winter Conference held annually in Athens, Georgia was last week, January 09 through January 11, 2024. The conference of 530 was full of CEUs, raffles, and surprises.

Hal Coleman Named to Hall of Fame

Of great importance to GPCA, Hal Coleman was named the newest Hall of Fame member for his nearly 40 years of service to the Georgia Pest Control Industry and Georgia Pest Control Association. We are so happy to welcome Hal to this storied institution within GPCA.

Cliff Nipper Wins Traeger Grill

Cliff Nipper, National Termite & Pest Control, won the Traeger Grill this year. He had already left the conference and conscripted his friend Carl Brown with Cobra Exterminating, to help him get the Traeger home. Of course, Carl said he would gladly help if they had shared custody of the new Grill provided by Oldham Chemicals and Tim Robinson.

Al Shaffer Wins Shotgun Raffle

Al Shaffer of Central Termite & Pest Control won the Guardians Shotgun Raffle to support the Political Action Committee arm of GPCA. The PAC works with our lobbyists to ensure that legislation on the state and national levels doesn't harm the pest control industry in Georgia. The gun was sponsored by Target Specialty Products!

2024 GPCA Awards

Awards are given out annually to various persons who show dedication to their company, GPCA, the pest control industry, and their larger community. These persons stand out as quality personnel who have gone above and beyond consistently to ensure the pest control industry is represented in a positive light, are a stable influence in their communities, and are highly valued by their organizations. GPCA Congratulates all the winners of the 2024 Awards!

Brandon Cable: Outstanding Pest Management Professional of the Year

Brandon Cable of COMPANY HERE was named Outstanding Pest Management Professional of the Year. INFO HERE

Ashley Alderman: Administrative Professional of the Year

Ashley Alderman, Sales Administration Supervisor at Peachtree Pest Control was awarded the Administrative Professional of the Year award. Nominated by Racheal Chareunsouk, Racheal said of Ashley: "Ashley has been with Peachtree Pest Control for thirty-three (33) years and has played a valuable role in the organization. Ashley has provided exceptional customer service to commercial and residential customers, always providing a solution to each customer no matter how difficult the problem is. Ashley has managed multiple locations, CRM systems,is a licensed professional with the Department of Agriculture, and understands the business from the ground up."

Jason Pelham: James Allgood, Jr. Leadership Award

Jason Pelham, TITLE at Arrow Exterminators was awarded the James Allgood, Jr., Leadership Award by bing nominated and voted on by the Leadership Class of 2023/2024. This award is given by their peers from those who participate in The GPCA Leadership Program for having demonstrated leadership that is indicative of what is required to move the Pest Control Industry positively forward.

Ben Hottel, TITLE at Rollins was awarded the James Allgood, Jr., Leadership Award by bing nominated and voted on by the Leadership Class of 2023/2024. This award is given by their peers from those who participate in The GPCA Leadership Program for having demonstrated leadership that is indicative of what is required to move the Pest Control Industry positively forward.

The following persons completed the Leadership Class program at GPCA in 2023/2024. These leaders choose an intensive program that also raises money for charity. This year Team A raised $$$$ for CHARITY and Team B raised $$$$ for CHARITY.
