Volunteer Opportunity at the Atlanta Community Food Bank
We want to get together to serve. Complete the registration below to participate!
Date: Thursday, December 4th, 2025 Time: 8:30AM-11:30AM Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the shift start time to check-in. Orientation begins promptly at the start of the shift. Late volunteers may be unable to serve.
Location: Atlanta Community Food Bank 3400 North Desert Drive Atlanta, GA 30344
Service Area: Hunger Action Center The Hunger Action Center provides a great hands-on experience in a diverse and social atmosphere. Groups and individual volunteers come together to inspect, sort, and pack quality grocery donations to prepare for distribution to nearly 700 partner agencies across Georgia.
Volunteers Slots Reserved: 60
Dress Code: Closed-toe and closed-heel shoes are required, with sneakers or work boots recommended. Flip flops, Crocs, sandals, or heeled shoes are not allowed. Please wear comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting a bit rumpled. Some volunteers will be sorting refrigerated products. Please wear long pants and bring a sweatshirt or light jacket with you. In the event you are working elsewhere, there are lockers onsite to place your outerwear.
GPCA is collecting coats for Veterans. Bring donations to the GPCA office by December 3, 2025. Call 770-417-1881 before dropping off to ensure staff are available to receive your donations . Coat Sorting will be on December 11 at the Arrow National Training Center. Let the GPCA staff know if you'd like to help out!
