Veteran Spotlight
Kevin Trimble-Currently serving on the GPCA PestVets Committee
After September 11th 2001, I was extremely motivated to join the Georgia Army National Guard. With a waiver from my parents, I signed on the dotted line to become a Combat Medic at the age 17.

I attended Basic Combat Training the summer of my junior year of high school. After returning and completing high school, I was off to Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas for Combat Medic School.

I attended UNG for a while before being called to serve in Iraq with the 2/121st Infantry. I served in Iraq from 2005 to 2006 performing convoy security missions out of Talil up through various parts of the country.

When I returned home in 2006, I was not in the right frame of mind to return to college. I found a job with a lawn care company called Leisure Lawn. I was looking for a career more conducive to growth when I stumbled upon the “Now Hiring” sign at mid-size pest control company in Lawrenceville, Georgia.  I walked inside and hit it off with their Technical Director and they hired me on the spot.

I really enjoyed, and still do to this day, the science behind our industry. I quickly moved up the ranks and became a Certified Operator in HPC and WDO in 2011. I was promoted to Service Manager where I provided training and oversaw technicians for a couple of years.

In 2023, I attained my Category 41 and Commercial Applicator’s Licenses. I love how this industry affords us endless opportunities to better ourselves. In 2025, I began studying for my Associate Certified Entomologist exam. I took the exam and passed on the first attempt last month October 3rd, 2025.

Currently, I am studying for my Wildlife Trapper’s license.  With ethics and integrity as key priorities, I hope my future career opportunities will be ones where I can implement my protocols and mentor fellow bugmen and bugwomen to be the best that they possibly can be.
